Zero + Maria Cornejo HOLIDAY MARKETPLACE

It’s the season of giving and we are excited to host a little ZMC holiday marketplace this year at our Bleecker Street store. We are featuring some of our favorite artists and women-owned businesses, including Magda Sayeg,Wisp Ceramics, Bartleby Objects and Laura Kung. These super talented women have created some beautiful pieces for you to shop, and they all make perfect gifts!
Let’s pass the love on and support our small businesses.

For those that are unable to come into the store to see these special pieces, we are also offering virtual appointments.
Call us at 212.925.3849 or email Andrea at andrea_cl@zeromariacornejo.com to book in.

Considered the founder of Guerrilla Knitting, Magda’s 11-year body of work includes the widely recognized knitted covered bus in Mexico City as well as her first solo exhibit in Rome at La Museo des Esposizione.

Magda’s hand work brings so much joy and beauty, which is much needed right now.

Magda Sayeg

We collaborated with amazing artist and friend Magda Sayeg to make these fun, limited-edition sweatshirts and tote bag embroidered with Magda’s artwork.

We also have her collectible one-of-a-kind hand-crocheted balls available in three different sizes.

Bartleby Objects

As many of you may know, we carry our favorite Bartleby Objects leather goods in store and online. As part of our holiday series, we are excited to have some really special Bartleby Objects in-store, including new bags, earrings and small leather accessories.

Bartleby Objects is a multi-disciplinary design studio, making objects of use for the home and individual, with a mission to make daily life a little sweeter, a little easier. All of the products are handmade one at a time and most are made in New York at a Brooklyn Navy Yard studio by designer, knitter, weaver, and leather-worker Mary L Chan.

We are thrilled to have new, one-of-a-kind pieces available at the store now.

25% of all proceeds from Wisp Ceramics are going to the nonprofit organization Every Mother Counts.

Wisp Ceramics

We have been big fans of Wisp Ceramics for a long time and often had pieces at our Los Angeles store. Ceramic artist, Kat West, creates beautiful, modern pots with aged and antiqued surfaces. The patterns of the lattices that adorn the forms give a nod to classic Filipino woven baskets, Kat’s way of connecting with her culture.

Laura Kung

Laura is an incredible artist and designer who used to work on our design team at Zero for 7 years. Shop her gorgeous hand made face masks – the best gift for yourself or a friend!

Laura’s masks are made of 100% naturally dyed silk and the lining is 100% Japanese organic cotton (includes a pocket to insert filter). The elastic rubber is covered with GOTS certified organic cotton. The silks have been hand-dyed using plant-based and insect (cochineal) natural dyes, a slow and meditative process that includes washing, mordanting, extracting the dye and then submerging the silks in the dye vat for days to achieve the most saturated color.

Zero + Maria Cornejo Sweatshirts

Our brand new brushed terry collection has just arrived in store and now it’s in bright PINK!
Super soft and cosy - Brushed Terry is made of cotton and lyocell, a biodegradable, natural fiber created from cellulose plants, commonly known as wood pulp, which has been added for a softer hand.

All of our sweat shirting is washable and made in Japan by a company that spins the yarn, weaves the fabric and makes the final garment - less steps in production mean less waste!

Candle No. 0-1

Scented Candle No. 0-1captures the memories of Maria’s favorite places in the world. As a company dedicated to producing locally wherever possible, each candle is individually poured in a slip cast, hand-embossed porcelain vessel in Brooklyn, NY. Once burned through, the container is intended for reuse.
